The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is an accredited state university located in Southwest Wisconsin, best known for its engineering, criminal justice, and agriculture programs. Since its entrance into online and distance education, UW-Platteville maintains a fully-staffed distance learning division on the campus to give distance students a centralized hub for all of their student services needs.
Mission
The mission of the Distance Learning Center is simple: to provide access to education and professional development for those whose life situation won't allow them to attend a traditional classroom.
Our Customers
We believe that people should be able to enhance their education without having to put their lives on hold. Our students are working adults, mothers, and fathers who may also have hobbies or travel frequently for their jobs. Although our average student age is 34, we enroll students in their late 20s to new retirees with 35+ years of work experience.
