The Master of Science in Distance Education Leadership degree is earned upon the successful completion of 30 graduate credits. At least 21 credits must be 7000-level courses (upper division graduate-level courses). A minimum of 50% of credits required must be from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville graduate courses. Courses in the 5000-6000 levels are open to graduate students for graduate credit, provided they have not previously taken the courses at the undergraduate level.
Graduate students must maintain a 3.00 grade point average. Graduate credits with a grade lower than a "C" will NOT be counted toward the degree (but will be reflected in the GPA.) Graduate students are allowed seven years from the date of admission into a master's program to complete degree requirements (extension may be granted.)
Transfer credits require approval by the student's assigned graduate advisor and the Dean of Graduate Studies. Transfer credits will not be officially recorded until the student has successfully completed graduate work at UW-Platteville and only courses where the student received a grade of "B" or higher will be accepted.
